Utah's 2 Seasons (Silvia, your blog was my inspiration today)
If your favorite seasons are winter and summer, then Utah is the place for you. However, if you're like me and you enjoy the mild, temperate seasons of spring and fall, Utah is not the place for you. Utah could just be one of the few areas where you have a chilly, wintry 35-degree-snow-storm day, and only a few days later you're experiencing a scorching day of 80 degrees in the middle of April. That being said, I do enjoy the oh, one or two days of real spring weather we get here a year. (maybe I'm being a little sarcastic) I enjoy them a lot. So much that I feel like I need to relish every second of them because they're so fleeting.

Freeway on-ramps that force a quick merge... too quick!
This is something that causes me great anxiety whilst driving and is one of the reasons I avoid I-15 (or certain on-ramps) at all costs in the morning. You enter the freeway and suddenly you realize you have to almost immediately merge with traffic while simultaneously figuring out how you're going to manage to get over three or so lanes. But they're all going so fast and already driving bumper to bumper! Unless a compassionate driver out there notices you and mercifully allows you to enter his/her lane, you're out of luck! Off you fly to the 2-15 interchange, which is ok in my case actually, but still, not the route I was planning on taking!

Drivers who don't allow you to merge. And also aggressive drivers.
They need to go!

Today in the office we have been working on using Memory Mixer to create backgrounds and headers for blogger. It has been fun and I'm still working on my header but this is what I have for now. If anyone wants me to make one for them I can! Attempt at least!

I completely forgot to add My Things That Must Go yesterday, but I honestly can't think of one right now. Maybe that's a good thing :)

I wanted to report that I received my shirt! (Shirt C) Thank you everyone for your input :) I'm horrible at making decisions, especially with clothes. The shirt is way cute but it turned out to be massive and falls off my shoulders. Luckily, there is a very talented seamstress (my mom!) in the house, and she thinks she will be able to work her magic on it. So I will post a picture of it when it's done.

Happy Easter!

It was a great day. Easter is such a fun holiday, I love the weather (when it cooperates), the food, the colors, the company. I'm thinking someday in the far future I will buy myself a bunny for Easter. What do you think of this guy? He is a lionhead bunny, I think they are so cute.

Easter tends to be so commercial, so I'm so glad we were able to go to church today and focus on our Savior. I know He lives and loves each of us. He cares about all of our needs and concerns whether they be great or small. He is one who can truly empathize with us in all our experiences and hardships in this life. He endured so much in our behalf. His love and mercy is constant and I know he will never let us down or leave us comfortless. I am so grateful for this knowledge and for the sacrifice he made for me.

Mac Users with Attitudes


I don't have a problem with Macs themselves, I think they're great computers with less glitches in them than PC's.(Or so I hear) It's just that I can almost predict which customers of mine are Mac users and which ones aren't, just by the way they convey themselves over the phone. A wide portion of Mac users tend to be a little...snobbish sometimes. I almost feel too intimidated to offer them any kind of technical assistance once I realize they are a Mac user. I realize that Macs are the more hip and "green" of computers (really, how green can computers be?) but is the attitude really necessary? In all honesty though, I don't know if it's because of their attitude that I'm irritated or because I don't know how to use a Mac. :) But still! The Mac users with attitudes must go!

I hope this is a passing trend. I've been looking for some cute new sandals for summer, and I keep running into this look. I think the picture says enough. These are appropriately named Gladiator Sandals.

Visitors of the Duck Variety

I always wonder what Winston's up to outside. He always disappears for the longest time when he's out there and I've discovered he has been hanging out by the back of the pool running circles around it. I figured we must have mice or some sort of rodents back there, until yesterday when I heard "quack, quack, quack" coming from the pool and saw a poor duckie come flying out from the pool. Awww. I love ducks! I don't mind Winston pesterting rodents, but I feel bad having Winston disrupt their tranquil pond they've made into a home. It does keep him pretty entertained though, and it makes me feel better knowing he has company in the day while I'm gone :) I thought we just had one, but last night I saw four of them fly off together, and today I got pictures of the male and female resting together on top of our floating lounge chair.

I've been following a blog the past couple days called Nie Nie Dialogues. It is the blog of Stephanie Nielson. She and her husband were in a plane crash together and miraculously survived, although have both been dealt a really difficult hand, both suffering major burns and other complications. Her blog is so inspiring, I just wanted to pass it along to anyone who wants some motivation and inspiration. She has every reason to feel down and frustrated, but she's chosen to be optimistic and faithful. I don't even know this couple but I know they are very blessed and were preserved for a special purpose.
