We went to Australia as a family in 2002, and I have barely started scrapbooking them here at work with our digital scrapbooking software. I'm excited to finally have some of these pictures on the computer! When we went, none of us had digital cameras, so I've had to start scanning all our pictures in.

Freedom and the Dog Park

I called the Utah courts automated system the other day just out of curiosity to see where they were in my divorce process. To my surprise, the message said that the judge had passed judgement and that my divorce was final. I had no idea it would only take a couple days. I asked for my 90 days to be waived, but even after that it should take a couple weeks. So now I have that done with. I can focus on getting the house sold now and thinking about school. It's really strange being free now, it still hasn't sunk in yet. I know that it was the right thing though and I know we can both move on and learn from this.

Winston went to the dog park on Saturday and had a blast. He found a cute Wheaten terrier to play with there. There was a little chihuahua there who kept trying to hump Winston. He was making Winston so mad, Winston kept trying to nip at his ankles. It's pretty entertaining watching the dogs interract on their own like that. hehe.

I was going to put a recipe on here but I made it last night and it turned out horrible. I made "Autumn Pork Chops" last night for Mom and Dad, and they were trying to be all nice about it. hehe. They're so sweet. It was really tasteless though and I feel bad for wasting their apples in the recipe, those were good apples! So I'll try to find a better recipe to share. I'm really starting to re-think going into Culinary School. I don't know if I have enough natural cooking ability. Well that's about all for now!

Winston's been having a blast at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He wears himself completely out by the end of the day. We recently had a visit from Ellie and Kim and he really enjoyed playing with them. Ellie was having fun playing with a dog that's so close to her size. I love the way Ellie says Winston's name, it sounds so cute. It was fun to spend some time with them while they were down!

I took Winston to the dog park in Sandy to meet up with my friend Amanda, her husband and their two dogs Callie and Karma. It was fun seeing them and watching all the dogs interract. I was surprised at how well Winston did, I thought for sure he'd end up aggravating some dogs but he was pretty well behaved. That's until he saw the Borzoi Russian hunting dogs.

A lady there had eight of them! I kept wondering what breed they were. They're quite startling. They're very tall and slender yet from a distance I thought they were collies. At one point I had to bend down to get Winston away from one and ended up looking one straight in the face. It made me jump! He had the skinniest face I've ever seen and the longest nose. He kept following me the whole night because he could get his long nose clear down in my pocket where my treats were. hehe.

Winston was sad to see Digger and Bo leave yesterday for their new home. He is going to be pretty lonely in the yard now, but at least he won't get jealous anymore.

I am busy working on the divorce papers and have been getting some help from a nice mediator who called me Friday. I'm lucky she called because I had an appointment all set up with an attorney for Monday just to help me make sense of the papers. It will be nice when all this is out of the way!

Surprising indeed for 71-year-old John Grady Pippen.
The staff at Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach gave the retired mechanic and logger the ridiculously happy news this month, along with some pain pills.
